About This Event

Join the virtual fun with games, auctions and raffles!

Do you love seeing all of the uniquely awesome Jack-o'-lanterns people come up with? Then you won’t want to miss our virtual 19th Annual Operation Pumpkin on Sunday, October 25 from 5-7 p.m.! El Paso’s most prominent physicians and surgeons will carve pumpkins and auction them off to benefit the children and families served by the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home. Every year, our esteemed participants come up with the most fun, creative and ghoulish gourds!

Our two-hour virtual event will include a silent auction that opens to the public Saturday, Oct. 24, games for prizes and a live auction of our physicians’ spooktacular creations.

For only $25, ticket holders will automatically be entered into a drawing to win one of several items, including an elegant item generously donated by Johnson Jewelers! (Must be virtually present to win jewelry item.) Participants will receive a Zoom link before 3 p.m. the day of the event, Oct. 25. All proceeds directly benefit our kids and cover the cost of clothes for the entire year!

Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home

For more than 60 years, the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home has served El Paso’s children and families who are experiencing difficulty in their lives – for whatever reason – by providing a nurturing, positive environment and a full range of services, including residential care, foster care, adoption placement/referrals and programs that boost children’s confidence and life skills. Services are provided without regard to race, religion, culture, gender or financial condition. The Lee & Beulah Moor Children's Home is a charitable institution and qualifies as a 501(c)3 organization.

Where will the 19th Annual Operation Pumpkin happen this year?

Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home decided to make this year’s Operation Pumpkin go virtual. Participants can enjoy games for prizes, a silent auction and a live auctioning of the pumpkins from the comfort and safety of their home! (Auction item pick-up information is described below.)

How much are tickets and how do I buy one?

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here on this site or by texting “TICKET” to 855-546-2040, which will direct senders to this site. Tickets will remain on sale until noon Sunday, Oct. 25.

How do we log in to the event?

Those who purchase tickets will receive a Zoom link before 3 p.m. the day of our event, Sunday, Oct. 25. Our silent auction will be open to the public and will go live on Saturday, October 24 and will end at 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 25.

How long will Operation Pumpkin be?

Operation Pumpkin will be two hours, starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 25.

How will the silent auction and live pumpkin auction work?

Our silent auction will be open to the public and will go live on Saturday, October 24 and will end at 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 25. Text “AUCTION” to 855-546-2040 to get a notification when our silent auction goes live. Whether you’re participating in our virtual event or not, you can see what’s up for auction and make a bid via text message!

How will auction winners pick up their items?

LIVE AUCTION WINNERS:

Winners of the live pumpkin auction can pick their pumpkins up at the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home (1100 Cliff Drive) between 8 a.m. to noon and 2-7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26. We strongly encourage winners to pick them up no later than Monday because the pumpkins are perishable. 

SILENT AUCTION WINNERS:

Silent auction winners can pick their items up (Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home, 1100 Cliff Drive) during our office hours from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday starting Monday, October 26. For other arrangements, please email vmolinar@leemoor.org.

What if I have trouble paying for my auction item(s) online?

If you have trouble paying for your items once the auctions are closed, message or call us at 915-820-9086.
